Lead Java backend development for Citi’s rates reference data application, using Spring, scalable microservices, and low-latency engineering practices. Work within a global electronic trading platform.

This full-time developer role supports Citi’s Java Server development team and up-to-date rates reference data technology. You will build reusable services, contribute to architecture, and work closely with front office trading users. The position requires strong software fundamentals and hands-on experience with Java, messaging middleware, and UNIX or Linux deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop reusable Java components and services using Citi best practices

Create high-performance, low-latency applications on Citi frameworks

Contribute actively to system design and strategic POCs

Ensure reliability, scalability, testing,



and performance across components

Provide post-release assistance and third-line trading-hours support

Requirements

8+ years developing Java applications with Spring or dependency injection

5+ years developing scalable, real-time, low-latency microservices

Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace, Tibco, or similar messaging

Experience developing multi-threaded applications and UNIX or Linux deployment

Bachelor’s degree, university degree, or equivalent experience
