Business Systems

Associate L3HARRIS WESCAM Manufacturing Engineering team is looking for a new member to act as primary interface to the business with regards to an internally developed web application MES. This role will be active in addressing bugs, maintenance, general concerns and process improvements to the application. To accomplish this the individual will need to elicit and document requirements from business stakeholders, communicate with developers and guide stakeholders through the software development life cycle.

The individual will have the opportunity to expand our data visibility by developing Power BI dashboards. Act as the frontline support for MES to resolve issues, create and manage tickets, support resolution of user issues, identify and document bugs and improvement suggestions,



and coordinating support with the project Lead for timely resolution This includes managing volunteers across various shifts Lead/participate in techniques outlined by the BABOK to understand the business needs and translate the output into requirements Lead small to medium-sized IT/Operations projects using project management tools and methodologies Design test plans and conduct or support testing for new features and projects to ensure system performance and stability is maintained Provide operations-related data requests, regularly communicate MES system status, progress on tickets, and upcoming changes to shop floor stakeholders and operations leadership Use data analysis and root cause investigation to recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives within MES and related processes Proactively identify areas of system inefficiency and work with cross-functional teams to improve usability and performance Collaborate on automation initiatives, including BI Reports, and other relevant tools to enhance efficiency and streamline processes where automation can be incorporated Use technical communication skills both written and verbal, energetic, resourceful team member that is known for sense of initiative, urgency and innovation Advanced user of Microsoft tools with an emphasis on DevOps, Excel, PowerBI, T-SQL, and Visio ~ Knowledge of Agile methodologies (certification would be considered an asset)



~ Excellent technical communication skills both verbal and written ~ Excellent organizational and planning/project management skills ~ Ability to translate technical data and system changes into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders ~ Experience with software testing, test plan creation, and bug documentation ~ Experience working with DevOps, Agile workflows, and managing support ticket pipelines ~ Knowledge of Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing Principles ~ Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent toolsets ~ Ability to challenge the status quo and provide recommendations with supporting data ~ Understanding of business systems architecture ~ Strong presentation skills with the ability to easily explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience ~ 1-3 years of experience in a business analyst, technical support, or operations system’s role ~ Experience in an environment that creates/maintains websites ~ Must be eligible to meet requirements for Controlled Goods Program (CGP) ~ Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently ~ Knowledge of ISO9000/AS9100 standards is an asset Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
