Overview

We are seeking a patient, organized Math (Data Management) Tutor to help students strengthen their math skills and build confidence. The tutor will provide individualized or small-group instruction, adapt lessons to students’ needs, and use digital tools to support learning and track progress. This is a paid position.

Duties

- Teach math and data management concepts using clear explanations, examples, and practice activities.
- Tutor students individually or in small groups, adjusting instruction to their skill levels and learning goals.
- Prepare lessons, review assignments, and help students develop effective problem-solving and study strategies.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate learning records.
- Use computer skills and educational software to organize student data, prepare materials, and support instruction.
- Create a welcoming, respectful learning environment and communicate student progress appropriately.




- Adapt teaching approaches to support diverse learning needs, including students who may benefit from special education strategies.

Requirements

- Robust knowledge of math, including data management concepts.
- Experience in tutoring, teaching, or another instructional setting.
- Experience working with children; classroom experience is an asset.
- Comfortable using computers and common digital learning tools; computer science knowledge is a plus.
- Special education experience or familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies is an asset.
- Patient, dependable, organized, and able to explain concepts in an encouraging, age-appropriate way.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.0 – 6.0 per week
