Farmfed, a division of K&R; Poultry Ltd, is family owned business operating for 30 years. We are a poultry processing company in Abbotsford, BC. We are currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.

Job Requirements:

· Good command of the English language.

· Punctual, dependable and courteous.

· Detail-oriented with strong record keeping skills.

· Good time-management, multi-tasking and priority setting skills.

· Self-directed problem-solving skills.

· Comfortable performing repetitive tasks, such as pre operational inspection and document filing

· Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

· Available to work overtime, as necessary

Key Responsibilities:

· Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities

· Perform physical, microbiological, and sensory analysis on products; conduct validation sampling





· Prepare and ship samples for testing (microbiological, water etc.).

· Environmental monitoring (air and water quality).

· Maintain logs and records as required by quality procedures and data entry.

· Investigate problems, take remedial action as required and identify actions to prevent recurrence.

· Prioritize daily workload to accommodate due dates.

· Participate in internal and external audits when requested.

· Document verification, document control.

· Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

· Preference given to a candidate with post-secondary courses in food science or HACCP and/or equivalent experience

Experience:

- Experience in food industry is not a must, but it will be considered an asset.

Schedule:

- Day shift (full-time). Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday. Some variation in days of production.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
