Job Summary

Onyx Guard Services Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Operations Manager to oversee daily security operations, manage field staff and ensure high-quality service delivery across client locations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling, employee supervision, client communication, incident management and regulatory compliance. This position requires strong leadership, organization and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily operations at assigned security sites.
- Recruit, train, schedule and supervise security personnel.
- Ensure all shifts are properly staffed and arrange emergency coverage when required.
- Conduct site visits, inspections and performance evaluations.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and promptly address concerns.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, complaints and service-related issues.
- Review incident reports, daily activity reports and employee documentation.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, site procedures and client requirements.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, uniforms and workplace conduct.
- Coordinate with payroll and administration regarding employee hours and scheduling.
- Assist with new site start-ups, post orders and employee orientation.
- Investigate workplace incidents and prepare appropriate reports.
- Maintain compliance with Ontario security regulations,



health and safety requirements and company standards.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and provide operational support outside regular business hours when necessary.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in security operations, preferably in a supervisory or management position.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong leadership, communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple locations, employees and priorities.
- Experience with scheduling, timekeeping and incident reporting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

College diploma or degree in business administration, security management or a related field.

- Experience managing commercial, residential, construction or retail security sites.
- Knowledge of Ontario employment standards and occupational health and safety requirements.
- First Aid and CPR certification.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
