Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Swine Technician to join our livestock management team. This role is vital in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our swine herds through daily care, maintenance, and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the physical capability to handle demanding farm activities. Duties

- Assist in the daily care of swine, including feeding, watering, and health monitoring
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of animal housing and equipment
- Operate farm machinery such as feed mixers, loaders, and other mechanical equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct health assessments and assist with vaccinations or treatments as directed by veterinary staff
- Maintain accurate records of animal health, feed schedules, and production data
- Assist with the movement and sorting of animals within the facility
- Perform minor repairs or troubleshooting on farm machinery as needed




- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and farm regulations at all times

Experience

- Prior experience working with livestock or in an agricultural setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for maintaining and troubleshooting farm equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) is essential for handling feed bags, equipment parts, or animals
- Familiarity with farm machinery operation is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is highly valued
- Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
