Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mason to join our construction team.

Hiring Experienced Mason – Toronto Project

CAN Masonry is looking for an experienced block mason for an interior renovation project.

Main duties:

- Lay CMU concrete blocks using mortar.

- Keep the wall straight, level and plumb.

- Install horizontal joint reinforcement.

- Build and grout the reinforced CMU lintel above the door.

- Install the GC-supplied hollow-metal door frame.

- Fill the door frame with mortar/grout as required.

- Cut blocks neatly around openings and existing services.

- Follow drawings, specifications and site-safety requirements.

- Perform some noisy work after regular working hours.

- Assist with material handling and keep the work area clean.

The work is located on the 19th floor, with access through the service elevator. The project will be completed in two phases.



Workers must also complete the required OPS security-clearance process.

Requirements:

- Experience installing CMU/block walls.

- Able to read basic construction drawings.

- Must have valid site-safety certifications.

- Must be willing to work after hours when required.

- Reliable transportation and proper PPE.

- Must be eligible to complete the security clearance.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
