Job Overview

Looking for dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team. In this role, you will assist with day to day pharmacy operations including but not limited to entering prescriptions, adjudicating in pharmacy software, packaging, pickup, answering phone call. Preparing compliance ( Blister packs ). Receiving, verifying and placing daily order. Managing and arranging inventory - including checking expiry , managing front store. Follow pharmacy SOP for monitoring cold chain , handling narcotics and other dispensing policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration and patient interaction, with prior experience in retail pharmacy settings preferred. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient health and safety while working in a cooperative environment.

Duties

- preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and ordering supplies as needed




- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance on medication usage under supervision
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations
- Process insurance claims and handle billing procedures related to prescriptions
- perform data entry, billing, filing, and documentation
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to safety protocols and cleanliness standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to facilitate medication delivery

Requirements

- Right attitude towards patient/customers. Welcome/ greet every single patient / customer walking in.
- Prior experience in pharmacy setting is highly desirable
- Kroll experience is preferred
- Pharmacy education background is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.

Pay: $17.95-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
