Friesen Hauling & Excavating is a third-generation, family-owned excavation and civil construction contractor based in southeastern Manitoba. Our team has built a reputation for honesty and quality workmanship, providing complete site development including excavation, earthworks, site services, aggregates and trucking.

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to price our work and see it through from bid to close-out.

What you'll do

- Review tender documents and drawings, and complete quantity take-offs.
- Prepare complete, competitive estimates and bids for civil projects.
- Manage awarded projects: scheduling, budgets, materials, subcontractors and client communication.
- Work closely with site supervisors and crews to keep jobs on track.
- Track costs, manage change orders and prepare monthly progress claims.

What you bring

- 4+ years of estimating and/or project management experience in civil, excavation or heavy construction.
- Ability to read site plans and specifications.




- Strong Excel skills and experience with take-off or estimating software.
- Excellent organization, communication and relationship-building skills.
- A solid sense of ownership and accountability, and a drive to keep improving how things are done.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
