Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Printing Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in rotogravure printing and is dedicated to producing consistent, high-quality results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up rotogravure printing press and operating parameters within allowable production downtime
- Prepare cylinders, inks, solvents and other materials required for press runs
- Mount printing cylinders and adjust doctor blades to the required positions and angles
- Determine colour sequence and control ink viscosity and solvent blending according to production requirements
- Adjust and blend inks to match required Pantone colours and production specifications
- Set up and operate the press at slow speed to check samples before commencing regular production runs
- Check printed samples for ink coverage, colour accuracy, registration and trapping
- Operate and monitor the rotogravure printing press using the touch-screen control system




- Monitor press runs and make necessary adjustments to maintain print quality and production standards
- Remove and clean cylinders and related press components at the end of production runs
- Maintain printing equipment and the surrounding work area in a clean, safe and organized condition

Qualifications

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating rotogravure printing presses in a flexible packaging or film environment.
- Strong understanding of ink systems, substrates, tension control, and color management.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues independently.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to maintain focus during long production runs.
- Ability to work rotating or fixed shifts as required.
