Protect McGill residences overnight through surveillance, emergency response, and calm problem-solving at Macdonald Campus from Sunday through Thursday.

As a sessional Night Steward, you will support Student Housing & Hospitality Services under the Protection Supervisor. The position combines static security, residence rule enforcement, building inspections, and student well-being oversight. You will communicate with McGill Security, police, visitors, occupants, and the Res Life Team while completing incident reports and required training.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct rounds across assigned buildings, locations, and grounds
- Enforce residence rules and verify occupant authorization
- Respond to emergencies and support fire evacuations
- Inspect doors, windows, alarms,



equipment, and vehicles
- Report incidents and contact McGill Security or police

Requirements:

- High School Diploma and six months related experience
- Valid Security Certification and required first aid certificate
- Knowledge of French and English communication
- Calm problem-solving during emergency situations
- Qualified, service-oriented approach and teamwork ability
