Responsibilities

- Greet patients and visitors professionally and courteously at the point of sale or service
- Process payments accurately using cash registers or electronic payment systems
- Verify patient information and insurance details as needed
- Assist patients with inquiries related to billing and payments
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Support pharmacy technicians by handling medication-related transactions when applicable
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area




- Collaborate with healthcare staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and service delivery

Skills

- Prior experience in hospital or pharmacy cashier roles preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration processes is a plus
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to customer service
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with medical billing systems and insurance processing is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a focus on patient confidentiality and privacy

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.25-$21.50 per year
