Job Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist with at least 3 years of experience in accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting. Experience in a manufacturing workplace, preferably food manufacturing, is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage accounts payable, including invoice matching, approvals, and vendor payments.
- Issue customer invoices, track payments, and process credit memos.
- Maintain general ledger records and assist with month-end closing, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
- Prepare payroll reports and ensure timely HST, payroll deductions, and WSIB remittances.
- Assist with year-end closing and tax filings with external accountants.
- Reconcile company credit cards and maintain petty cash records.
- Monitor inventory,



procurement records, and fixed assets.
- Update sales dashboards using Power BI.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and provide administrative support to management.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Manufacturing experience, preferably in food production, is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, GAAP, payroll, and Canadian tax requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs and PivotTables), Word, Power BI, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and data-entry skills with excellent attention to detail.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
