Operate propane lift trucks safely at GMS Canada’s Barrie warehouse, preparing building-material loads and supporting accurate, scheduled deliveries.

The Forklift Operator prepares orders, loads and unloads building materials, and works with team members to exceed customer expectations. Daily work includes lift-truck inspections, maintenance coordination, order building, load verification, material security, and communication with supervisors. This position requires two years’ experience and valid propane forklift certification.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect lift trucks daily and complete required forms
- Build orders according to delivery specifications
- Load and unload building materials safely and efficiently
- Check contents, secure materials, and meet shipping schedules
- Communicate with supervisors to resolve emerging issues

Requirements:

- Valid propane forklift certification
- Minimum two years of experience
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and hand tools
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
