Overview

- The Public Area Cleaner helps maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for guests, visitors, and staff.
- This role focuses on the cleanliness and presentation of shared spaces, such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other public areas.
- Candidates with hotel experience, a background in hospitality, or custodial experience are encouraged to apply.

Experience with industrial cleaning is also useful.

Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain public areas according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean floors, surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
- Clean and restock restrooms, including sinks, mirrors, dispensers, and waste bins.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling safely and regularly.
- Monitor public spaces for spills, debris, and other hazards; address issues promptly and report maintenance needs.
- Use cleaning products and equipment properly, following safety instructions.




- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, and keep storage areas orderly.
- Interact courteously with guests and staff while working in shared spaces.
- Follow workplace safety, sanitation, and security procedures.

Experience

- Prior cleaning, custodial, or janitorial experience is helpful.
- Hotel experience or experience in a hospitality setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods, equipment, or safety practices is beneficial.
- Ability to work carefully, stay organized, and complete tasks independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn site-specific cleaning procedures and follow instructions for protected product and equipment use.

Pay: $15.70 per hour Expected hours: No less than 25.0 per week
