We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care in a welcoming dental practice. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with people of different ages and backgrounds.
Duties
- Perform dental hygiene assessments, cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventive treatments within the scope of licensure.
- Review medical and dental histories, document findings, and update patient records accurately.
- Take and review dental radiographs as permitted by applicable regulations and practice protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment recommendations in a clear, supportive manner.
- Work collaboratively with dentists and the dental team to coordinate patient care and maintain an efficient schedule.
- Provide a calm, respectful experience for patients, including children and patients receiving orthodontic care.
- Maintain clean,
organized treatment areas and follow infection-control and patient-safety procedures.
- Use dental practice software to document care and manage patient information.
- Apply customer service skills when communicating with patients and supporting a positive office experience.
Qualifications
- Current registration in valuable standing with BCCOHP as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, dental charting, and clinical hygiene procedures.
- Experience with Cleardent is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is required
Pay: $60.00-$65.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
