As an integral member of the Nephrology Program, the Registered Nurse is highly skilled and responsible for supporting a system that delivers person-centred, safe and effective kidney care services in an efficient, equitable and timely manner. As the program continues to achieve deliverables under the Ontario Renal Network (ORN) and strives to achieve the targets of the Ontario Renal Plan, the registered nurse will provide excellence in patient care, maintain competency and professionalism relevant to dialysis practice and work collaboratively in the context of an interprofessional nephrology team. Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (in good standing); " Current Basic Life Support (BLS)



certification from the Heart and Stroke Foundation is required " Nephrology Nursing certificate preferred or evidence of enrollment or progression towards completion; " Demonstrated ability to perform appropriately in emergency situations; " Physically capable of performing the duties of the position in order to lift, turn, and transfer patients manually and with mechanical aids; " Must have satisfactory performance record; " Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices, including staff patient, and environmental safety, and participation in regular in-service education in this area; Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy.
