DMC Recruitment is partnering with an established building products manufacturer to recruit a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator for its manufacturing facility south of Brandon.
This is a hands-on shipping, logistics and transportation coordination role where you'll take ownership of outbound freight and work directly with production, sales, carriers and customers.
Some days everything goes according to plan. Other days a late order, job-site delivery or changing customer request means you need to find another solution. We're looking for the person who knows how to make it happen.
What You'll Do

- Plan and coordinate outbound shipments, scheduled loads, job-site deliveries and couriers
- Coordinate OTR, LTL, flat-deck and other freight requirements
- Obtain freight quotes for job-site and non-standard deliveries
- Work with carriers to arrange transportation and delivery schedules
- Liaise with sales and production when orders, priorities or schedules change
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery requirements
- Troubleshoot freight and delivery issues as they arise

Who We're Looking For
- You may currently be a Dispatcher, Shipping Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Transportation Coordinator, Freight Coordinator, Traffic Coordinator or Load Planner.
- Experience with OTR, LTL, flat-deck freight,



trucking or job-site deliveries would be particularly valuable.
- Experience in manufacturing, building products, steel/metals, agriculture, construction supply, industrial distribution or transportation would also transfer well.
- You don't need building products experience.

What matters most is that you're:

- Highly organized and able to juggle changing priorities
- Resourceful and comfortable solving problems
- A strong communicator with good customer-service skills
- Comfortable working with carriers, customers, sales and production
- Proficient with general computer applications including email, Excel and Word

This is a full-time, on-site position at the manufacturing facility.
Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the facility.
