Own monthly financial close activities at Nelson Education as a Corporate Accountant specializing in reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet analysis.

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, you will maintain accurate accounts and explain activity behind assigned balances. The role includes hands-on month-end accounting, audit support, and financial reporting analysis. You will also build expertise in IFRS and NetSuite while taking ownership of increasingly complex areas.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, schedules, and balance sheet roll forwards
- Maintain accrual, fixed asset, intangible asset, and royalty accounting
- Prepare royalty calculations, statements, payment schedules, and annual tax reporting
- Investigate reconciling items,



unusual movements, and accounting issues
- Prepare account analysis, variance explanations, and audit support

Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- CPA designation or active CPA program enrolment strongly preferred
- Three or more years of experience
- Hands-on month-end accounting experience
- Working knowledge of IFRS and NetSuite
