Drake Excavating (2016) Ltd. is a civil general contracting company operating throughout British Columbia, primarily in the Lower Mainland. We specialize in public municipal infrastructure projects, delivering both civil and mechanical solutions with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

The Roll Off Truck Driver position will be responsible for delivering and picking up bins/containers, compact excavators, etc. from civil construction sites within the lower mainland and surrounding areas. The Driver will operate a 5-ton, single axle, flat deck roll-off hook lift truck with manual transmission and air brakes.

Responsibilities :

- Operate all company vehicles/equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow all applicable rules and regulations associated with your position
- Promote productivity and expedite work wherever possible
- Work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Perform pre
- and post-trip inspections and report and report any equipment deficiencies, damages, or required maintenance
- Transport vehicle to maintenance or inspection facilities when requested to do so
- Submit copies of inspection reports, load slips, and all other paperwork to the office on a regular basis
- Grease equipment and check all fluids on a regular basis
- Maintain a clean truck both interior and exterior
- Advise dispatch or operations if site present hazards to health and safety or may potentially damage company equipment




- Ask questions or ask for assistance if uncertain wither operating procedures for any sort of equipment
- Any traffic violations incurred while operating company vehicles will be the sole responsibility of the driver

Required Skills/Experience :

- Minimum of 3 to 5 years related experience with a clean driver’s abstract
- Valid Class 3 Driver's License
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
- Ability to be flexible and can adapt to last minute changes/add-ons for the daily schedule
- Physically fit with the ability to unload/load bins and/or assist the crews in the field as needed
- Complete daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time
- Maintain a clean and organized truck
- Ability to navigate work sites, and adapt to daily changes in site scope of work
- Excellent communication skills
- Open to working early mornings when needed and overtime
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Forklift skills an asset but not required

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32.00-$34.00 per hour
