Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IBM i System Administrator to manage, maintain, and support IBM i (AS/400) environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system administration, performance monitoring, security management, backups, upgrades, and ensuring high availability of critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain IBM i (AS/400) systems.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability.
- Manage user profiles, system security, and access controls.
- Perform system backups, recovery testing, and disaster recovery activities.
- Install, configure, and upgrade IBM i OS and related software.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-related issues.
- Support HA/DR solutions, including PowerHA, Mimix, or similar tools.
- Work closely with infrastructure, application, and support teams.




- Create and maintain system documentation and operational procedures.

Required Skills
- Strong experience with IBM i (AS/400) Administration .
- Knowledge of IBM i OS upgrades, PTFs, and system maintenance .
- Experience with BRMS, backups, restore, and disaster recovery processes .
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking, security, and user administration .
- Familiarity with Power Systems hardware and system performance tuning.
- Basic scripting and automation knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience administering IBM i environments.
- Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
