CYAN’s (Canmore Young Adult Network) mission is to strengthen Canmore by connecting young adults (18 to 35) with each other and local resources, while empowering young adult voices.

About the Role

Are you organized, proactive, and passionate about making a difference in your community?

CYAN is looking for a Grants & Funding Manager for a temporary 6-month contract to help secure funding, grow our grant opportunities, and support impactful initiatives for young adults across the Bow Valley!

You’ll research grant opportunities, prepare and submit applications, complete grant reports, and collaborate with our team to develop funding strategies that help CYAN grow and create a lasting community impact.

What we’re offering:

- Where: Bow Valley (Canmore, AB)
- Part time Hours: 15-25 hours per month
- Hourly Rate: $25
- Contract: 6 month temporary contract to begin immediately
- Schedule: Flexible/hybrid

The Grants & Funding Manager plays a key role in supporting CYAN's financial sustainability by researching, developing and drafting grant proposals.

What we’re looking for:

- Bow Valley based or surrounding areas preferred
- Evening and weekend availability required
- Strong writing, research, and communication skills
- Ability to identify relevant grant and funding opportunities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple applications
- Experience with grant writing, fundraising,



or proposal development
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Interest in community development and CYAN’s mission
- Must have a good knowledge of and understanding of the Bow Valley community, including knowledge of local businesses, non-profit organizations; and has good connections/networks in the valley

Responsibilities

- Research and identify grant opportunities (foundations, government, and corporate funders).
- Draft tailored grant proposals aligned with CYAN’s mission and strategic priorities.
- Maintain and manage a calendar of grant application and reporting deadlines.
- Track awarded grants and ensure all supporting documentation is organized and up to date
- Collaborate on tracking program outcomes and preparing grant reports.
