Are you an Internationally Educated Nurse (IEN), International Medical Graduate (IMG), or health professional looking to transition your clinical knowledge into the thriving field of Canadian medical aesthetics?

COL Center is accepting applications for our selective 6-Month to 1-Year Laser Therapy Internship & Training Scholarship Program. This hybrid educational track blends comprehensive online theory, direct clinical observation, and supervised hands-on training (2–3 days per week based on eligibility).

Program Highlights & Earned Certifications:

Trainees complete a structured curriculum covering 5 to 10 core clinical certification modules through the COL Center Laser Training Institute:

- 1. Laser Safety Certification (ANSI Z136.3 standards, laser physics, and hazard controls)
- 2. Fundamentals of Laser Therapy (Indications, contraindications, side effects, and consultations)
- 3. Fundamentals of Skin Care (Skin anatomy, lesions, physiology, and skin classifications)
- 4. Laser Therapy in Cosmetic & Beauty Certification (Skin rejuvenation, vascular lesions, pigmentation, and anti-aging)
- 5. Professional Facial Treatment Program Certification (Clinical skin assessments, Fitzpatrick typing, and combination facials)
- 6.



Laser Hair Removal (LHR) Certification (Protocol design, energy parameters, and multi-skin-tone safety)
- 7. Laser Therapy in Pain Management, Musculoskeletal Disorders & Sports Injuries Certification (Photobiomodulation/LLLT)
- 8. Laser Therapy in Obesity & Cellulite Reduction Certification (Non-invasive body contouring and metabolic stimulation)
- 9. Laser Therapy in Acupuncture Certification (Needleless photobiomodulation applied to acupuncture points)
- 10. Laser Therapy in Smoking Cessation & Addiction Support Certification

Tuition & Career Pathway:

- 50% Educational Scholarship Grant: COL Center awards a $12,500 CAD grant covering 50% of your specialized tuition and certification costs.

Who Should Apply & Qualifications:

- Educational Background: Background in nursing, medicine, or health sciences (international or domestic credentials welcome; e.g., IENs, IMGs).
- Language Proficiency: Minimum English proficiency level of IELTS 5.5–6.0 (Overall) or equivalent (CELPIP, Duolingo, or proof of English-medium medical/nursing education) for safe client communication and protocol comprehension.
- Core Aptitude: Detail-oriented, patient-focused, and committed to high standards of client safety.
- Availability: Available for a part time schedule (2–3 days per week) in Victoria, BC over 6–12 months.

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 18.0 per week
