The Role

As a Guide at Kove, you'll lead guests through our signature contrast therapy experiences, combining sauna, cold exposure, breathwork, music and ritual in a way that feels welcoming, engaging and accessible.

You're equal parts facilitator, educator and host. You'll help guests understand contrast therapy, feel confident trying something new and get the most out of their time at Kove. Whether you're leading an Elemental Flow or supporting someone through their first cold plunge, you'll bring warmth, personality and confidence to every experience.

You'll join Kove as an independent contractor, bringing your own facilitation style, experience and creativity to our guided programming while working within Kove's established methodology and safety standards.

We're looking for people who love working with others, feel comfortable leading a room and are genuinely curious about wellness and the mind-body connection.

Experience in teaching, coaching, fitness, wellness or facilitation is an asset, but not essential. We'll provide training in the Kove methodology so you have the knowledge and skills to deliver safe, engaging experiences.

What You'll Do
Make People Feel at Home

- Welcome guests with warmth, confidence and genuine care.
- Create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, included and supported.
- Help guests understand what to expect and guide them through their experience with clear, approachable communication.
- Build genuine connections with guests while respecting individual boundaries and comfort levels.
- Bring your own personality and presence to every experience while staying true to Kove's philosophy.

Lead the Flow

- Facilitate Kove's signature Elemental Flows and guided contrast therapy experiences.
- Introduce guests to sauna and cold exposure, including the potential benefits, etiquette and safety considerations.
- Lead groups through each stage of their experience, creating a natural rhythm between heat, cold and rest.
- Support guests through cold plunges with encouragement, clear guidance and an understanding that everyone's experience is different.
- Adapt your approach to the energy, experience levels and comfort of each group.
- Know when to encourage, when to offer an alternative and when to give someone space.
- Deliver experiences in accordance with Kove's facilitation methodology and guest safety standards.

Bring the Heat

- Prepare and tend to the sauna during guided experiences.
- Monitor sauna temperatures, humidity and guest comfort in accordance with Kove's safety procedures.
- Use essential oil-infused snowballs and aromatherapy to create immersive sauna experiences, following approved protocols.
- Learn and perform towel-waving (Aufguss) techniques as part of Kove's guided rituals.
- Explore scent pairings, music and seasonal elements that enhance each session.
- Recognize when a guest may need a break and respond appropriately.

Hold Space with Care

- Create an atmosphere where guests feel comfortable participating at their own pace.
- Guide breathwork,

moments of stillness and reflection with warmth and intention.
- Support guests through moments of discomfort, vulnerability or emotional release without judgement or pressure.
- Maintain professional boundaries and recognize when someone needs support beyond your role.
- Stay calm and grounded when unexpected situations arise.
- Recognize signs of physical distress, respond appropriately to safety concerns and follow Kove's emergency response procedures.
- Respect each guest's autonomy, including their decision to modify or opt out of any part of an experience.

Stay Curious

- Develop a strong understanding of contrast therapy, including its history, physiology, potential benefits, limitations and safety considerations.
- Stay informed about relevant research and evidence-informed wellness practices.
- Share your knowledge in a way that's approachable, accurate and easy to understand.
- Recognize the limits of your expertise and refer questions to appropriate professionals when needed.
- Participate in Kove methodology training and any safety education required to facilitate Kove experiences.
- Explore opportunities for ongoing mentorship, continuing education and professional development.

Bring Your Own Ideas

We want our Guides to bring their own experience, creativity and interests into the space.

- Incorporate your skills in meditation, breathwork, sound, mindfulness or other relevant practices into approved Kove experiences.
- Explore instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, rain sticks, drums and other tools to create immersive sound experiences.
- Collaborate on seasonal rituals, special events and new programming opportunities.
- Contribute ideas for experiences that feel thoughtful, engaging and distinctly Kove.

Take It a Little Further

Guides interested in facilitating additional Kove classes and specialty experiences may have opportunities to expand their offerings.

Additional training may include:

- Class structure, sequencing and programming.
- Theme development and creative experience design.
- Effective cueing, communication and group facilitation.
- Safety, accessibility and inclusive teaching practices.
- Creating engaging and memorable guest experiences.

Opportunities for mentorship, coaching and feedback will help Guides continue developing their skills and refining their approach.

Show the Space Some Love

- Help prepare and reset the Bathhouse areas used during your guided experiences.
- Keep facilitation equipment, instruments and materials organized and properly cared for.
- Restock towels and essential supplies associated with your sessions when needed.
- Communicate any equipment concerns, maintenance issues or guest safety needs to the appropriate Kove team members.

- Coordinate with Hosts and Facilities Team Members to ensure a smooth transition between experiences.
- Leave the space clean, safe and ready for the next group.

A Little About You

You don't need to arrive knowing everything about sauna rituals, cold exposure or breathwork. We'll teach you the Kove methodology and provide the training needed to facilitate our experiences.

What matters most is your ability to connect with people, lead with confidence and create an environment where guests feel comfortable and supported.

You might be a great fit if you:

- Genuinely enjoy people and creating experiences that bring them together.
- Feel comfortable speaking to groups and stepping into a leadership role.
- Have experience in teaching, fitness, coaching, wellness, hospitality, facilitation or public speaking — an asset, but not a requirement.
- Are a natural communicator who makes people feel comfortable.
- Can stay calm, grounded and compassionate when someone needs extra support.
- Are curious about the body, breath, nervous system and the science of contrast therapy.
- Are creative, open-minded and excited to share your own ideas.
- Are dependable, professional and comfortable collaborating with a wider team.
- Welcome feedback and see learning as an ongoing part of your practice.
- Hold a valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification, or are willing to obtain certification before leading guided experiences.
- Are comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for the quality and safety of the experiences you facilitate.

Working With Kove

As a Kove Guide, you'll be part of a team dedicated to creating meaningful, welcoming and memorable wellness experiences.

You'll bring your own personality, creativity and facilitation experience to Kove's guided programming while working within our established methodology, operational procedures and safety standards.

Kove will provide comprehensive training in our signature Elemental Flows, sauna rituals and contrast therapy protocols, along with opportunities for ongoing education, skill development and collaboration.

We're building a team of Guides with diverse backgrounds and specialties, creating opportunities to learn from one another, contribute to new programming and grow alongside Kove.

The Kove Kind of Guiding

At Kove, guiding isn't about pushing people to their limits. It's about giving them the tools, knowledge and confidence to explore what feels right for them.
