Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder & Fabricator to join our Manufacturing team. This role is responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling components for Duroair's clean air enclosures and containment systems, from initial work order through to final packaging and shipping. The ideal candidate brings hands-on fabrication expertise, strong attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset, with occasional travel to support on-site installation of Duroair projects.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication & Welding

- Fabricate and weld both small and large work pieces from Duroair-supplied drawings, ensuring all work meets specifications.

- Operate a press, shears, rollers, plasma cutter, and MIG/TIG welders safely and effectively.

- Perform layout, cutting, tagging, assembling, packaging, and shipping of Duroair projects.

- Design jigs and fixtures to maximize productivity and efficiency in fabrication.

Quality & Materials

- Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications.

- Interpret CAD drawings and electrical schematics to guide fabrication and assembly work.

- Aid in tracking supply and inventory levels.

- Ensure proper organization and disposal of cutting scrap.

Installation & Field Support

- Travel periodically,



on an as-needed basis, to assist with the installation of Duroair projects at client sites.

Health & Safety

- Work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and Company policies and procedures at all times.

- Maintain good housekeeping practices to help keep work areas safe for yourself and coworkers.

Requirements

Education & Experience

- 3+ years of hands-on welding experience (preferred).

- 3+ years of installation experience (preferred).

- Experience fabricating from technical drawings in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Technical Proficiency

- Skilled in MIG and TIG welding techniques.

- Comfortable operating a press, shears, rollers, and plasma cutter.

- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and electrical schematics.

Certifications & Licenses

- Valid driver's license (required).

- CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) certification is an asset.

Soft Skills

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Ability to work safely and collaboratively in a team-based shop environment.

- Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple work orders.

Other Requirements

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in a shop setting for extended periods.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
