Overview

We are seeking a creative and dependable Dessert Maker to prepare, finish, and package desserts in a clean, organized kitchen. The ideal candidate takes pride in consistent quality, enjoys working with food, and contributes to a welcoming customer experience. This role is suited to someone with baking or kitchen experience who is eager to develop their skills.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and bake desserts according to recipes, production plans, and quality standards.
- Decorate cakes and other desserts with care, following design instructions and presentation guidelines.
- Complete food preparation tasks, including measuring ingredients and preparing fillings, toppings, and garnishes.
- Package, label, and store finished products appropriately.
- Follow food safety and food handling practices, including proper sanitation and temperature control.
- Keep workstations, tools, and kitchen areas clean and organized.




- Assist with inventory checks and communicate when ingredients or supplies need replenishing.
- Provide courteous customer service and help answer questions about dessert products when needed.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and service team members to support daily operations.

Requirements

- Interest in baking, cooking, and dessert preparation.
- Food preparation, food handling, and food safety knowledge, or willingness to learn.
- Cake decorating skills are a plus.
- Previous kitchen, restaurant, or food industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Robust attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Dependability, organization, and a positive, team-oriented approach.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace and work efficiently in a busy kitchen.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
