JOB SUMMARY:

Important Requirement: This role requires hands-on NetSuite experience. Candidates without prior NetSuite experience will not be considered for this position.

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and structured Business Analyst to play a key role in bridging business needs with technical delivery across NetSuite ERP, product, and software initiatives.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into clear and actionable functional requirements that can be effectively understood and implemented by Product, Development, QA, and Delivery teams.

A key aspect of this role is establishing clear requirements, maintaining process alignment, and ensuring traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience working with NetSuite, a solid understanding of ERP business processes, and a proven ability to translate business needs into structured requirements and successful system outcomes.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working across business and technical teams, identifying process improvement opportunities, and driving clarity across stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and delivery teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements Analysis & Documentation

- Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to capture, validate, analyze, and document business needs with clarity and completeness.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional requirements that can be understood and implemented by technical teams.
- Produce high-quality documentation, including:

- Business Requirements Documents (BRD)

- Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)

- User Stories with clear acceptance criteria

- Process flows and workflow diagrams

- Functional specifications

- Admin and End User Guides

- Test scenarios and supporting documentation

- Ensure requirements are complete, accurate, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain clear traceability between business requirements, system design, development, testing, deployment, and final business outcomes.

NetSuite Business Analysis





- Apply hands-on NetSuite knowledge to analyze business requirements and determine how they can be addressed within NetSuite.
- Analyze existing NetSuite configurations, workflows, business processes, and system functionality to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Work with stakeholders to understand NetSuite-related business requirements across areas such as Finance, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory, CRM, and other relevant business processes.
- Translate business requirements into NetSuite functional requirements, workflows, configurations, and system solutions.
- Support the analysis of NetSuite enhancements, customizations, integrations, and process changes.
- Work closely with NetSuite consultants, developers, and technical teams to ensure requirements are technically understood and appropriately implemented.
- Participate in NetSuite testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), issue validation, and implementation activities.
- Review delivered solutions against documented requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure alignment.

Process Analysis & Improvement

- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for optimization, standardization, automation, and improved system utilization.
- Document current-state and future-state processes using appropriate process mapping and workflow tools.
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, dependencies, and potential risks.
- Recommend practical improvements that align business requirements with NetSuite capabilities and organizational objectives.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across ERP and product-related processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Product, Development, QA, NetSuite Consultants, Delivery, and business stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and minimizing ambiguity.
- Facilitate discussions between stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve questions, and establish appropriate priorities.
- Support developers and QA teams by providing clarification and additional context when requirements require interpretation.
- Participate in solution reviews, sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and deployment activities as required.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

- Maintain structured documentation repositories, including Jira and Confluence, with strong organization, version control, and accessibility.
- Ensure requirements and supporting documentation remain current throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to improving internal documentation standards, templates, processes, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain user-facing and administrative documentation to support system adoption and ongoing operations.

Testing & Delivery Support

- Develop clear and testable acceptance criteria aligned with business requirements.
- Support QA teams in developing test scenarios and validating expected system outcomes.
- Participate in UAT and assist business stakeholders in validating solutions.
- Review defects and system issues to determine whether they relate to requirements, configuration, development, or process gaps.
- Support successful deployment by ensuring requirements, documentation, and stakeholder expectations are aligned.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

- Track key metrics, user feedback, system performance, and process outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyze data and stakeholder feedback to support recommendations and decision-making.




- Identify recurring issues and opportunities for process, system, or documentation improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of NetSuite processes, business workflows, and delivery practices.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- NetSuite certification (SuiteFoundation, NetSuite Administrator, or NetSuite ERP Consultant) is strongly preferred.

EXPERIENCE

- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in ERP, SaaS, software delivery, or technology environments.
- Hands-on NetSuite experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and documenting business requirements within a NetSuite environment.
- Proven experience writing detailed and structured requirements documentation; this is critical to the role.
- Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and testable acceptance criteria.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technical teams.
- Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, integrations, or process improvement initiatives.

NetSuite & Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on knowledge of NetSuite ERP and its core business processes.
- Understanding of NetSuite configuration, workflows, roles and permissions, forms, saved searches, reports, and dashboards.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and determine appropriate NetSuite functionality or potential system solutions.
- Understanding of NetSuite implementation, enhancement, testing, and release processes.
- Familiarity with NetSuite integrations and the interaction between NetSuite and external systems.
- Understanding of business processes such as Finance, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory, and CRM.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and other documentation/project management tools.
- Experience with process mapping tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, or similar.
- Strong data analysis skills, including Excel, reporting, KPI tracking, and data validation.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
