One of our clients is seeking CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Machinists to join their team in Windsor, Ontario. The company manufactures die sets, steel plates and precision industrial components for customers globally.

The ideal candidates will have extensive experience operating large CNC Horizontal Boring Mills, preferably FPT machines, and machining large steel components while maintaining tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

· Set up and operate CNC Horizontal Boring Mills to machine large steel components and fabricated weldments.

· Perform precision boring, line boring, drilling, tapping and keyway machining.

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and GD&T; specifications.

· Maintain machining tolerances of ±0.001 inch or better.

· Select appropriate tooling, adjust CNC programs and troubleshoot machining issues.

· Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments.

· Safely handle large workpieces using overhead cranes and appropriate lifting equipment.

· Maintain quality standards and follow workplace safety procedures.





Required Qualifications

· Minimum three years of relevant CNC machining experience, preferably with horizontal boring mills.

· Hands-on experience operating CNC Horizontal Boring Mills, ideally FPT machines.

· Experience machining large, fabricated weldments, steel plates, die sets or heavy industrial components.

· Strong knowledge of precision machining, blueprint reading and GD&T.;

· Experience with FANUC, TOSNUC and/or FAGOR CNC controls.

· Proficiency in machine setup, tooling selection, precision measurement and overhead crane operation.

· CNC programming or editing experience is an asset.

· Experience with Toshiba, Kuraki, PAMA or Fermat horizontal boring mills is preferred.

· Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Must pass a criminal background check and complete a 90-day probationary period.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
