Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tandoor Cook to prepare flavorful, high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen. The ideal candidate takes pride in consistent cooking, careful food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety. This role works closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook breads, meats, vegetables, and other menu items in a tandoor oven according to recipes and quality standards.
- Complete daily food preparation and meal preparation, including measuring ingredients, marinating items, and organizing mise en place.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is properly cooked and presented consistently.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures, including secure storage and temperature control.
- Keep the tandoor, kitchen equipment, and work areas clean and orderly.
- Coordinate with kitchen colleagues and front-of-house staff to support timely food service and serving.




- Track ingredient levels and communicate supply needs to the appropriate team member.
- Follow workplace safety procedures when handling hot ovens, tools, and food products.

Experience

- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, commercial kitchen, or food industry setting is preferred.
- Experience with tandoor cooking is an advantage; candidates with strong kitchen experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with food preparation, meal preparation, food handling, and food safety practices is desirable.
- Food service experience, including coordinating orders and supporting serving operations, is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively, stay organized during busy service periods, and maintain attention to detail.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
