Bring your estimating experience to a local company that values integrity, teamwork and exceptional

customer service. Northern Doors is seeking an experienced Project Estimator / Quoting Professional who

takes ownership of accurate estimates, transparent communication and dependable follow-through.

We supply, install and service residential and commercial overhead doors, operators, dock equipment,

gates, access systems and hollow metal doors throughout Grande Prairie and the Peace Country.

About the role

You will manage opportunities from the initial inquiry through estimating, quotation follow-up and a

complete handoff to our operations team. Your work will help customers make informed decisions and

give our technicians the information they need to deliver safe, efficient, quality installations.

A minimum of five years of relevant estimating and quoting experience is required. Previous

overhead door experience is an asset, but is not required. Candidates with transferable

experience in construction, building products or related trades are encouraged to apply.

What you will do

- Review drawings, specifications, tender documents and customer requirements to define project scope

and prepare accurate estimates.

- Complete material takeoffs and assess labour, equipment, freight, subcontractor costs and other

project requirements.

- Obtain supplier pricing, confirm product suitability and lead times, and prepare explicit, complete

quotations with defined scope, assumptions and exclusions.

- Identify scope gaps, site constraints and pricing risks; clarify requirements before submitting a quote

or committing to work.

- Manage bid deadlines,



quote revisions and customer follow-up while maintaining an organized pipeline

of opportunities.

- Review accepted proposals, purchase orders and contract requirements; flag discrepancies and price

changes in scope for approval.

- Complete site visits and job checks as required to verify measurements, access and installation

conditions.

PROJECT ESTIMATOR / QUOTING PROFESSIONAL

Project coordination and customer service

- Prepare detailed work orders and project packages with approved scope, specifications,

measurements, materials and supporting documents.

- Coordinate product orders, delivery timing and scheduling requirements with suppliers, the service

coordinator, warehouse and field team.

- Keep estimates, correspondence, approvals and job information current in FieldPulse and related

systems.

- Provide service, parts and residential quotations as required, and support customer inquiries with

timely, professional communication.

- Help resolve project questions, customer concerns and invoicing discrepancies; review completed work

to improve future estimates.

What you bring

- At least five years of relevant estimating and quoting experience, with a track record of

accurate pricing and managing multiple deadlines.

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Strong numerical skills and an understanding of job costing,



margins and the effect of scope changes

on profitability.

- Professional written and verbal communication, sound judgment and a customer-focused approach.
- Strong organization, attention to detail and accountability for following commitments through to

completion.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and confidence learning estimating and

job-management software; FieldPulse experience is an asset.

- A valid driver’s licence for site visits and legal entitlement to work in Canada.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
