Work is in a independant Heavy truck and trailer salvage yard / parts and and recycling type of yard.

We are seeking a safety-conscious Heavy Machinery Operator to use excavator to dismantle heavy trucks and trailers

Duties

- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and graders.
- Perform earthmoving, excavation, material handling, site preparation, and grading work
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine equipment care; report defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Use mechanical knowledge to identify basic equipment issues and support safe, efficient operation.
- Follow project plans, site instructions, traffic controls, and all applicable safety procedures.
- Coordinate with supervisors, laborers, and other equipment operators to complete work accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain awareness of workers, vehicles, utilities, and changing ground conditions around equipment.




- Keep equipment and work areas orderly and communicate progress or site concerns to the crew.

Qualifications

- Experience with heavy equipment operation preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate one or more of the following: dozer, loader, backhoe, excavator, or grader
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling and paving operations is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge and the ability to complete basic equipment checks are preferred.
- Commercial driving experience is beneficial.
- Ability to follow directions, communicate clearly, and work cooperatively in an active job-site workplace.
- Commitment to safe work practices and proper equipment operation.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
