Compensation: $72,000 - $120,000 per year





Final compensation will be based on experience, certifications, productivity, and technical ability.

What You’ll Do

As a Journeyman Automotive Service Technician, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles while delivering accurate, efficient, and skilled workmanship.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, drivability, and electronic concerns
- Completing vehicle maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer specifications
- Performing warranty and customer-pay repairs
- Conducting complete and accurate vehicle inspections
- Clearly documenting findings, recommendations, and completed repairs
- Identifying safety concerns and required maintenance
- Maintaining accurate repair-order notes and real-time PBS status updates
- Communicating promptly with service advisors, dispatch, and the parts department
- Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Following General Motors warranty policies and dealership procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work bay
- Caring for dealership tools, equipment, and customer vehicles
- Completing required GM technical and safety training
- Supporting apprentices and less-experienced technicians when appropriate
- Contributing positively to shop productivity, culture, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

- Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification or recognized Journeyman status
- GM training or GM dealership experience is strongly preferred
- Previous dealership or professional automotive repair experience
- Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical abilities
- Valid British Columbia driver’s licence
- Ability to operate standard automotive diagnostic tools and shop equipment safely
- Ability to complete required General Motors training and certification
- Own professional technician tools appropriate for the position
- Commitment to safe work practices and dealership procedures
