Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced CNC Machine Operator to support stone fabrication operations. In this role, you will work with automated machinery to manufacture stone products used in kitchens, bathrooms, and other interior and architectural applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing machines, following production specifications, handling stone materials safely, checking finished products for accuracy, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Operate and prepare CNC machinery used in stone cutting, shaping, edge finishing, drilling, and surface processing.
- Review work orders, technical drawings, measurements, and digital production files to understand fabrication requirements.
- Choose suitable machine settings, cutting tools, and programs based on the type of material and the job specifications.
- Examine stone slabs before processing to identify visible imperfections, cracks, colour variations, and other features that may affect the final product.
- Assist with positioning and securing stone slabs using appropriate mechanical handling devices and approved support systems.
- Fabricate stone components to the required dimensions, including countertop edges, sink cutouts, tap holes, angled joints, and other customized details.
- Observe machine operation throughout production and identify irregularities involving cutting performance, tooling, or equipment.
- Make permitted adjustments to machine settings to help maintain production accuracy and efficiency.
- Check completed pieces for measurements, finish, edge consistency, and overall workmanship.
- Identify damaged materials or finished pieces that do not meet specifications and communicate concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Carry out basic machine care, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of designated tools when required.




- Record production details, inspection results, and material usage as required.
- Maintain a clean and orderly production area and follow established operating procedures.
- Comply with workplace safety standards, including requirements for dust suppression, water control, personal protective equipment, and safe material handling.

Qualifications

- Previous experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing or fabrication setting is an asset.
- Experience working with stone countertops or similar materials is preferred.
- Ability to understand technical drawings, dimensions, measurements, and production instructions.
- Familiarity with machine setup, cutting tools, operating parameters, and routine equipment checks.
- Knowledge of granite, marble, quartz, porcelain, or other natural and engineered stone materials is an advantage.
- Robust attention to detail and the ability to identify quality issues.
- Ability to work safely around machinery and handle materials using approved equipment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a production team.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and maintain production standards.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

- Ability to work in a manufacturing and stone processing environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on production duties.
- Comfortable working around operating machinery, stone materials, and water-based cutting processes.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all applicable safety procedures.

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
