Insurance Office Administrator / Receptionist – Licensed or Unlicensed

Pay: $20–$35+ per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Schedule: Approximately 18 hours per week, typically three 6-hour days, with flexibility in scheduling.

About the Position

Nanton Insurance is looking for a friendly, reliable, and organized individual to join our team.

We're open to hiring someone with administrative or reception experience, an experienced licensed insurance broker, or someone looking to begin a career in the insurance industry.

This position will primarily involve reception duties and general office administration. For someone who already holds an insurance broker licence, the role can also include insurance servicing responsibilities.

For the right unlicensed candidate, we're willing to invest in training and potentially cover the costs of obtaining an insurance broker licence.

Key Responsibilities

- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist with client inquiries.
- Greet customers and visitors in a friendly, skilled manner.
- Handle filing, scanning, photocopying, and document organization.
- Maintain accurate client records and assist with general office administration.
- Provide administrative support to our insurance brokers.
- Assist with client correspondence and follow-up.
- Help maintain an organized and efficient office environment.
- For licensed candidates, assist with insurance quotations, renewals, policy changes, and other client servicing duties.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Previous reception, administrative, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Previous insurance experience is an asset but not required.




- Alberta Level 2 General Insurance Licence preferred for licensed applicants; Level 1 candidates are also welcome.
