Overview

We are seeking a caring and dependable ECE Assistant to support a welcoming early childhood classroom. In this role, you will help create a protected, inclusive, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and develop. You’ll work alongside teaching staff to support daily routines and activities, with opportunities to build your classroom experience and skills in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

- Assist with classroom activities, teaching, and age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Support children during play, meals, transitions, and other daily routines.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, language, and early math development.
- Communicate respectfully with children, families, and colleagues.
- Support children with different learning and developmental needs, including individuals with disabilities.




- Observe children’s participation and share relevant updates with the teaching team.
- Follow classroom procedures and guidance from lead teachers.

Skills

- Experience working with children; classroom experience is a plus.
- Interest in early childhood education and supporting children’s development.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, collaborative approach.
- Comfort assisting with teaching and group activities.
- Basic math skills for supporting early learning and classroom routines.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is valued.
- Dependability, flexibility, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.

Pay: $18.25-$34.83 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 16.0 per week
