We are looking for a versatile Optometric Assistant to join our team. This role is a hybrid of optical dispensing expertise and front-desk coordination, with your daily focus shifting based on clinic workflow.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:

Optical Dispensing:

· Style and fit eyewear by assisting clients with frame selection and recommending ideal lens choices based on their prescription, fit, and personal style.

· Troubleshoot eyewear issues by performing precision adjustments, repairs, and lens neutralization/verification.

· Manage contact lens services including ordering inventory and conducting patient insertion and removal (I&R;) training.

· Process sales transactions efficiently while keeping highly accurate records.

Reception & Clinic Coordination:

· Manage patient flow by welcoming guests, checking them in, and handling scheduling, confirmations, and recalls.

· Oversee front-desk communications by answering phone calls,



responding to emails, processing mail, filing, faxing, and arranging specialist referrals.

· Handle clinical billing including invoicing, processing payments, and managing direct billing to insurance providers.

· Conduct preliminary testing by prepping patients for the Optometrist and performing visual field tests.

Qualifications & Compensation:

· Previous optical dispensing experience is required.

· In-house hands-on training will be provided for various aspects of the position.

· Remuneration is dependent on your level of optical dispensing experience.
