Position: Server - Markham

Location: Markham, Ontario
Employment Type: Part-time
Hours: 20 hours per week
Compensation: $18.00 per hour

The Server provides an enjoyable experience to guests in the facility Bistro through expert customer service and by suggesting menu items that meet their needs. The role is responsible for establishing rapport with dining guests and responding promptly and courteously to their requests or concerns. This position reports directly to the Food & Beverage Supervisor for the location.

Duties

- Interact with guests regularly, including arranging convenient seating, taking orders, and suggesting menu items that meet their needs.
- Process orders and payments in a timely and professional manner.
- Adhere to all liquor and health laws and regulations.




- Inform Bistro guests about company promotions and encourage their participation.
- Help kitchen staff as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Smart Serve Ontario certification is required OR willing to achieve asap, TCF can support with this, if you are right candidate, subject to approval.
- WHMIS certification is required; training is provided.
- At least 1 year of previous experience is required.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Demonstrated conflict and stress management skills are required.
- Ability to be a team player with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to complete a satisfactory criminal record check.
