Job Overview

- The Day Porter helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming commercial facility throughout the day.
- This hands-on role includes routine cleaning, responding to facility needs, and supporting basic maintenance tasks.
- Applicants should be dependable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working independently as well as with a team.

Duties

- Clean and maintain common areas, restrooms, entrances, and other assigned spaces.
- Perform ongoing commercial cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying waste and recycling bins.
- Replenish restroom and facility supplies as needed.
- Monitor the building for cleanliness, spills, and safety concerns; address issues promptly or report them to the appropriate team member.
- Respond to routine cleaning requests and help keep high-traffic areas presentable throughout the day.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance and maintenance tasks,



such as reporting needed repairs and completing simple upkeep within the role’s scope.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and follow established procedures.

Skills

- Experience with cleaning or commercial cleaning is helpful.
- Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance and routine maintenance is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Dependable, professional, and able to communicate courteously with building occupants and coworkers.
- Ability to work safely, follow instructions, and perform routine physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting supplies.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
