Overview

- Join a field crew performing water main swabbing work on active construction sites. This hands-on role supports the cleaning and preparation of water mains by helping set up equipment, move materials, and maintain a safe, organized work area.
- Work outdoors in changing weather and site conditions. Construction experience is helpful, and training may be provided for job-specific procedures and equipment.
- Follow site safety rules, crew instructions, and established procedures when working around vehicles, tools, and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

- Assist with water main swabbing setup and related field activities under the direction of the crew lead.
- Handle, stage, and move hoses, tools, materials, and job-site equipment.
- Support rigging and equipment positioning when trained and authorized to do so.
- Help maintain clean, orderly work areas and secure equipment at the end of tasks.
- Watch for changing site conditions and report hazards, equipment concerns,



or work delays to the crew lead.
- Work cooperatively with operators, drivers, and other construction personnel.

Skills

- Ability to perform physical outdoor work, follow instructions, and work effectively as part of a crew.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools or construction equipment are assets.
- Construction experience is preferred.
- Experience with commercial driving, rigging, heavy equipment operation, or horizontal drilling is an asset.
- Familiarity with oil and gas work sites is helpful.
- Experience operating or working around an excavator, crane, or forklift is an asset; operation must be limited to workers who are trained and authorized.

Pay: $17.60-$28.36 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 50.0 per week
