Job Overview

- The Kennel Attendant helps provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for animals in our care.
- This hands-on role includes daily animal care, kennel cleaning, and friendly interactions with pet owners.
- Applicants should be comfortable with active work, including standing, bending, and occasional heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

- Feed and provide fresh water to animals according to care instructions.
- Clean and sanitize kennels, treatment area, surgery area, exam rooms, and medical instruments.
- Walk, exercise, and monitor animals, noting changes in behavior or health and reporting concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Handle animals calmly and safely while following established care and sanitation procedures.
- Help with basic kennel organization, laundry, and restocking supplies.

Experience





- Previous experience caring for animals in a kennel, shelter, veterinary, or similar setting is helpful but not required.
- Solid communication skills and a courteous, service-oriented approach are valued.
- Must be able to follow instructions, work reliably as part of a team, and maintain attention to detail.
- Must be able to perform physical duties, including standing for extended periods and heavy lifting as needed. Must be able easily lift 16 kg.
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Must have interest in pursuing a veterinary or medical profession.

Pay: $18.25 per hour
