Rocky View County

Precision Aluminum is committed to delivering quality commercial projects through effective planning, coordination, and execution. As our commercial project portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for a proactive, organized, and solutions-oriented professional to strengthen the transition between project award, pre-construction planning, and operational execution.

We are seeking a Pre-Construction Integration Manager to establish and manage a consistent process for preparing projects for successful delivery. This role will work closely with project coordination, project management, scheduling, and operations to ensure project requirements are clearly communicated, potential risks are identified early, and teams have the information they need before work begins.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands how projects move from award to execution and can bring people, information, and processes together to improve efficiency, accountability, and overall project performance.

Position Overview

The Pre-Construction Integration Manager will serve as the central point of coordination between awarded commercial projects and the teams responsible for delivering them.

The primary objective is to ensure projects are properly reviewed, documented, coordinated, and operationally prepared before transitioning into active execution.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and an organized problem-solver who can identify information gaps, coordinate competing priorities, track outstanding issues, and drive accountability across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Handoff and Pre-Construction Planning

- Develop, implement, and maintain a standardized project handoff process for newly awarded commercial projects.
- Review project documentation to ensure relevant scope details, specifications, contractual requirements, assumptions, exclusions, milestones, and known constraints are communicated to the appropriate teams.
- Ensure critical project information is transferred accurately from the award stage to project management and operations.
- Identify missing documentation, unresolved questions, scope discrepancies, and outstanding decisions before they affect execution.
- Coordinate handoff meetings and ensure action items are documented, assigned, and followed through to resolution.

Cross-Department Coordination

- Coordinate communication between project coordination, project management, scheduling, and operations.
- Ensure each department understands its responsibilities, project requirements,

priorities, and outstanding deliverables before project kickoff.
- Facilitate pre-construction and project readiness meetings as required.
- Follow up on outstanding information and decisions to maintain progress and accountability.
- Identify communication gaps and coordination issues and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them.

Scheduling and Operational Readiness

- Work closely with scheduling and operations to review upcoming project requirements, anticipated timelines, resource needs, and operational constraints.
- Help identify potential scheduling conflicts, workload pressures, sequencing issues, and capacity limitations early in the planning process.
- Improve visibility into upcoming project commitments and their potential impact on operational workloads.
- Support alignment between customer commitments, project milestones, and operational capabilities.
- Escalate potential conflicts to the appropriate decision-makers before they affect project delivery.

Risk Identification and Issue Prevention

- Identify project-specific risks and information gaps during the pre-construction phase.
- Maintain a tracking system for outstanding questions, decisions, responsibilities, and readiness requirements.
- Ensure critical issues are communicated and escalated promptly.
- Help prevent avoidable delays, rework, miscommunication, and operational disruptions through proactive planning.
- Maintain clear documentation of key decisions and changes that may affect project readiness.

Project Kickoff and Transition to Execution

- Establish and maintain project readiness checklists and minimum requirements for transition into execution.
- Coordinate project kickoff meetings when required.
- Confirm that relevant teams have the information, documentation, and alignment necessary to proceed.
- Provide continuity during the initial execution stage to resolve questions arising from project handoff or incomplete pre-construction planning.
- Complete a structured transition to the responsible project manager and operational teams, ensuring ongoing ownership remains clear.

Process Improvement and Reporting

- Develop and maintain standardized procedures, checklists, templates, and communication protocols.
- Track recurring issues and identify opportunities to improve project transitions and operational efficiency.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to handoff compliance, project readiness, information completeness, issue resolution, and preventable execution problems.
- Gather feedback from internal departments and recommend practical process improvements.
- Provide management with regular updates on project readiness, outstanding risks, recurring challenges, and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

- Experience in construction, commercial project delivery, project coordination, project management, operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Construction industry experience is a strong asset, particularly in commercial construction, building products, architectural products, manufacturing, fabrication, or installation environments.
- Understanding of the typical project lifecycle, from estimating and project award through planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Experience coordinating multiple departments, teams, projects, or competing priorities.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and track numerous outstanding action items.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Robust attention to detail, particularly when reviewing project documentation, requirements, and deadlines.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and related project tracking tools.
- Comfort working with project management software, scheduling systems, document control platforms, or ERP systems is an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both office-based teams and operational personnel.
