Overview

We are seeking engaging French and English Teachers to help students build confidence and proficiency in language learning. Teachers may work with individuals or groups, adapting lessons to students’ ages, goals, and skill levels. The role is suited to educators who enjoy creating a supportive learning environment and helping students develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Duties

- Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons in French and/or English.
- Teach language fundamentals, including vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, conversation, reading, and writing skills.
- Adapt instruction and learning materials to students’ needs, progress, and learning styles.
- Provide tutoring and constructive feedback, and track student development.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom setting that encourages participation and confidence.
- Communicate with students, families, or colleagues about learning goals and progress, as appropriate.




- Prepare lesson materials and maintain organized records of instruction and student progress.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in French and/or English; applicants should indicate the languages they are prepared to teach.
- Teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
- Classroom experience and experience working with children are valued.
- Clear communication, patience, organization, and strong writing skills.
- Ability to tailor lessons to different ages, abilities, and learning goals.
- Additional language skills in Mandarin, Spanish, or Japanese are welcome.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2.0 – 6.0 per week

Education:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)

Experience:

- Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
