Job Summary

- Support the daily operations of a paving company repair shop, helping ensure mechanics are supported with ordering parts, and managing inventory.
- Assist the Shop Manager with coordinating workflow, maintaining shop organization, and contributing to shop efficiency.
- This is a hands-on role suited to someone with mechanic experience, and mechanical knowledge who has worked previously as a 310T mechanic, apprentice, or heavy equipment technician.
- This job is on site and may require taking calls off regular hours.

Duties

- dealing with driver and operators, listen to their concerns, and relay issues and the problems being experienced to the mechanics.
- Assist with scheduling , coordinating repairs and pickup parts on occasion, and keeping management and operations informed about repair progress.
- Support technicians by organizing work orders, tracking job status, and helping maintain an orderly, safe work area.
- Managing inventory in the shop and help monitor shop supplies, parts,



and equipment; report shortages or operational issues to the Shop Manager.
- Follow shop procedures and applicable safety practices, and help resolve equipment issues.
- Provide coverage for the Shop Manager as needed and assist with training or guiding team members.

Qualifications

- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands on experience and the ability to understand problems and communicate issues to the repair technicians.
- Interest in Truck and heavy equipment repair; mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience is needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively with , technicians, and shop leadership in a busy environment.
- Dependable, professional, and attentive to detail, with a commitment to a well-organized shop.

Pay: $50,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
