Synergy Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Service Advisor to join a well-established independent automotive repair shop in the Tilbury area of Delta, BC.

This shop services a broad mix of regular passenger vehicles, diesel pickups, commercial vehicles and fleet vehicles, with 7+ technicians and multiple full time service staff.

Previous Service Advisor experience is an asset, but it is not required. The right person could just as easily come from a strong customer service background and have a genuine interest in cars.

The shop is willing to teach the automotive-specific side of the role. What is more important is finding someone who is conscientious, organized, detail-oriented, good with people and willing to learn.

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and discuss their vehicle concerns
- Create and manage repair orders
- Communicate customer concerns clearly to technicians
- Review technician findings and recommendations
- Explain recommended repairs and maintenance to customers
- Prepare estimates and obtain customer authorization
- Keep customers updated throughout the repair process
- Coordinate workflow with technicians and the rest of the service team
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate records
- Follow up with customers as required

Qualifications:

- Strong customer service and communication skills




- Conscientious and detail-oriented approach
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple customers, vehicles and priorities at once
- Comfortable communicating by phone, email and in person
- Willing to learn new software and processes
- Genuine interest in cars and the automotive industry
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous automotive Service Advisor experience is an asset, but not required
- Previous automotive industry experience or knowledge is an asset

About the Shop:

This is an established independent repair shop with a broad customer base spanning regular passenger vehicles, diesel pickups, commercial vehicles and fleet work.

One of the longer-term goals is to expand into EV service, so an interest in learning EV diagnosis and repair in the future would be an asset. Previous EV experience is not required.
