We specialize in the custom manufacture and repair of equipment and consumables for the mining, forestry and industrial industries. The company has completed its 3rd major expansion since its inception over 30 years ago, serves industries domestically, nationally and internationally and is CWB certified as well as ISO registered. We are currently seeking resumes for full time Welder/Fitters.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to support fabrication and assembly work in a manufacturing environment. This hands-on role involves interpreting plans, preparing materials, fitting components, and producing quality welds while following established safety and quality standards. Experience with mining and forestry equipment is an asset. Hours of operation are Monday to Thursday, 6:30AM to 5:00PM.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings to determine dimensions, materials, and assembly requirements.
- Measure, mark, cut, fit, and assemble metal components using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform welding tasks, focus on FCAW all position.
- Complete basic machining and fitting tasks, checking dimensions with calipers and other measuring tools.
- Assist with rigging and the safe movement or positioning of materials using cranes or forklifts, as trained and authorized.
- Inspect finished work for accuracy, weld quality, and conformance to specifications; correct issues as needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment, keep the work area organized, and follow manufacturing safety procedures.




- Apply basic math and mechanical knowledge to support accurate layout, fabrication, and assembly.

Qualifications

- Highschool diploma or equivalent and completion of post-secondary Welding program.
- Demonstrated welding and fitting experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or related setting. (5+ years of experience)
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Hold valid CWB FCAW all position welding tickets. (Required for position)
- Experience welding with structural steel.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and fabrication equipment such as plasma cutters and press brake machines.
- Mechanically Inclined.
- Rigging, crane, or forklift experience is an asset; required equipment must be operated only with appropriate training and authorization.
- Commitment to safe work practices, attention to detail, and producing reliable, high-quality work.
- Have valid Ontario Driver's License and transportation to/from work.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
