Machine Operator

TJP Labs, a leading Canadian manufacturing company (24/7 operations), renowned for its dedication to producing high-quality products in modern oral pouch manufacturing, is seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our production team. As a Machine Operator, you will play a pivotal role in operating and maintaining production machinery to ensure the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of our products, contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional products to our customers.

We are a 24/7 operation. 12 hour Shifts: DAY 645AM-715PM or NIGHT 645PM-715AM. Schedules are set non rotational continental shifts as follows, non negotiable:

- 2 days on, 2 days off
- 3 days on, 2 days off
- 2 days on, 3 days off

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, ensuring product quality and efficiency in compliance with GMP standards.

- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and clean machines per SOPs.
- Monitor process parameters and perform quality checks.
- Document operations accurately and report deviations.
- Collaborate with Quality and Maintenance teams to support production goals.

Key Responsibilities Machine Operation:

- Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of manufacturing machines, such as the maker and labeler, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor machines during operation, ensuring they function correctly and efficiently.

Quality Assurance:

- Perform quality checks on products and materials produced by the machine to ensure they meet established quality specifications.
- Identify and address any deviations from quality standards and report them to the supervisor.

Safety and Compliance:

- Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a protected and compliant work environment.




- Follow all safety guidelines, report any safety hazards, and participate in safety training.

Productivity and Efficiency:

- Operate machinery to achieve production targets and meet schedule requirements.
- Follow efficient machine setup and changeover procedures to minimize downtime.

Teamwork:

- Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and meet production goals.
- Communicate effectively within the team and follow instructions accurately.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Technical knowledge of the specific machinery being operated.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Basic understanding of quality control and the ability to perform quality checks.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50kg and move materials as needed.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and tasks.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour

Education:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- Food, Beverage, Cosmetics and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: 2 years (preferred)
- Production/Manufacturing: 3 years (required)
- Machine Operator: 3 years (required)
