Luna Midwifery Care is a collaborative, client-centered practice dedicated to providing compassionate care throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Our multidisciplinary team includes registered midwives, nurses, lactation consultants, and a nurse practitioner who work together to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for growing families.

We are proud to serve a diverse community and strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment for every client. We are currently looking for a friendly, organized, and compassionate Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team.

Position Overview

As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play an essential role in creating a positive experience for families while ensuring the smooth day to day operation of our busy clinic. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a quick paced healthcare environment, thrives on organization, and genuinely enjoys helping others.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Greeting clients and providing a warm, professional welcome
- Answering incoming phone calls, emails, and client inquiries
- Scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments
- Completing appointment reminder calls and emails
- Registering new clients and maintaining accurate client records
- Managing electronic medical records (EMR), including scanning, filing, and processing incoming documents
- Processing referrals, laboratory reports, and other medical correspondence
- Requesting documents and managing incoming reports
- Coordinating communication between clients and healthcare providers
- Maintaining inventory of office and medical supplies as needed
- Preparing, organizing, and stocking examination rooms
- Assisting with general administrative tasks to support clinic operations
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment




- Performing other administrative duties as required

Qualifications

Required

- Minimum 2 year experience working as a Medical Office Assistant in a healthcare setting
- Experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment
- Professional, reliable, and client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team

Preferred

- Three or more years of experience as a Medical Office Assistant (MOA)
- Experience working in primary care, maternity, obstetrical, or women’s health clinic
- Experience coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team
