About us
Theoden Infrastructure is an Alberta group of five operating companies that build the roads, sites, utilities and earthworks our communities run on:

- Prairie North Construction: heavy civil, road and highway construction, site grading, rail grade and airport runways
- BTO Contracting: earthworks and environmental containment, including landfills, liners and lagoons
- EngCon: underground utilities, including water and sewer mains, storm sewer and lift stations
- Ventura Power & Gas: shallow utilities, including power, gas and telecom servicing for residential and commercial lots
- Theoden Drone & Robotics: drone survey, LiDAR and site monitoring for our companies and outside clients

About the role
We’re looking for a Recruiter who knows construction and knows how to find good field people. You’ll run full-cycle hiring across all five companies, from equipment operators and labourers to foremen, superintendents and office staff. You’ll report to the People and Culture Manager and work out of our Acheson office.

What you’ll do

- Run full-cycle recruitment: intake with hiring managers, postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, references and offers
- Build and keep a pipeline of field talent for seasonal and project ramp-ups
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, trade schools and industry events




- Work with hiring managers and site leaders to understand what each crew and project needs
- Coordinate with Safety, Payroll and Fleet to get new hires ready for their first day
- Track recruiting activity and report on time to fill, source of hire and retention
- Represent Theoden Infrastructure at job fairs and community events
- Keep hiring practices fair, consistent and compliant with Alberta employment standards

What you bring

- Recruiting experience in construction, heavy civil, utilities or a similar field-based industry (required)
- 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
- Understanding of trades, equipment and field roles, and what makes a good hire on site
- Experience with high-volume or seasonal hiring
- Comfort with an applicant tracking system and Microsoft Office
- Explicit, direct communication with candidates, crews and managers
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience

Pay: $60,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
