Meaningful work. Lasting impact. At McMan Calgary & Area, connection is at the centre of everything we do. Each year, we support more than 5,000 children, youth, adults and families facing complex challenges, including mental health concerns, addiction, homelessness, poverty and disability. We believe every person has deep and lasting worth, and we see people for who they are, not for what they're facing. Our work supports people to rebuild and strengthen connections to self, peers, family, community, culture and the land. Belonging, identity and wellbeing grow through relationships because people need people. Professional support is there for a season or a reason, not a lifetime. We create the conditions; people build the lives they want for themselves. The RoleHelp young people find home and find their footing. As a Case Manager on the Wicihitowin team, you’ll walk alongside Indigenous youth aged 16–24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, offering safe housing and individualized, culturally grounded support. Your work will be guided by Housing First, Harm Reduction, and Indigenous Trauma-Informed care.
Wicihitowin (phonetic spelling: Wi-Chi-Hi-Towin) is a Cree word that means “to help mutually” and “the act of helping one another.” It is connected to three other Cree words that mean love, empathy, and kindness for all living beings, and it guides how we work. Through community engagement and close connections with Elders and Knowledge Keepers, Wicihitowin fosters housing stability, cultural connection, life skills, and pathways to education and employment.
If you bring experience in case management and youth homelessness, solid communication skills, and a shared commitment to McMan’s core values of Respect, Trust, Empathy, Genuineness, and Commitment, we’d love to hear from you.
