Job Description:

Our client is looking for a dedicated Sourcing Specialist to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. The role supports competitive sourcing, supplier engagement, and commercial coordination across operations and maintenance categories. The ideal candidate is experienced in procurement, skilled in stakeholder collaboration and negotiation, and committed to achieving best value while ensuring compliance, effective communication, and workplace safety.

Responsibilities:

- Manage purchasing requests and ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
- Develop sourcing strategies, bidder lists, and supplier qualification processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define specifications, scopes of work, and contract requirements.
- Prepare RFQs/RFPs, coordinate bidding activities, and evaluate supplier proposals.
- Conduct commercial analysis, lead negotiations, and finalize purchase orders and contracts.
- Coordinate internal approvals and ensure compliance with procurement requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance, support contract closeout, and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain procurement records, prepare reports, communicate with stakeholders,



and promote workplace safety.

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or contract administration.
- Proven experience managing competitive bids (RFI, RFQ, RFP) through contract award.
- Experience preparing purchase orders, commercial agreements, and service contracts.
- Robust knowledge of supplier management, pricing analysis, and commercial evaluations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong stakeholder collaboration, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Industrial operations and maintenance procurement experience is an asset.
- Commitment to compliance, accuracy, and workplace safety.
